President's Message - First Quarter 2025

Initially I would like to thank Branch members, staff and volunteers for all the hard effort that went into making 2024 such a successful year for the Branch. By any standard performance measure, we did very well. Membership reached 1754, our social events were well attended, indeed our licensed capacity was met on several occasions, funds raised via Gaming allowed for increased donations to local charities, and the Branch financials were significantly improved.

In 2025 the focus of your Executive is to continue to deliver a package of activities and an environment that encourages our Members and their guests to participate. We want to grow the amount of funds we can donate to local charities and expect that our Tuesday bingo night will help meet this objective. On the property front we propose to clean and paint the building exterior, upgrade the kitchen, and to install our baffles to improve sound quality in the Lounge. We have recently acquired an industrial grade refrigerator at auction to ensure food storage is meeting necessary standards.

The Executive recognizes the need to improve the tools used to communicate with our Membership and we will work to upgrade both our web site and our use of emails to get information to our Members.

In closing, I would wish a healthy and happy year for our Members. Look forward to seeing you at the Branch and thank you for the support.

Dr. Bill Wilson
President
